Peterborough Community Inclusion Awards 2019 header image

Community Inclusion has been in planning feasibility for a while. I would love to come and see you, to discuss how this initiative can links in with your business’ priorities and how we can feedback and aid your reporting as a result. We can include your company’s logo on the list of partners as well as any other way we discuss. Alternatively, there is an opportunity for your logo to go onto one of the available awards as a sponsor of a specific award. I come to you with over 20 years previous experience doing this kind of work in West Sussex and also at national and international level.

Since I now live in Peterborough, I hope that I can be of service and contribute at a strategic level to help promote our lovely city. My previous professional history before embarking back into business included diversity and inclusion voluntary consultancy,  NHS Asst Director in Community Services is commissioning. I have worked in Northampton, Bromley, Mid-Essex, West Sussex, and some Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships in the London area.

My team and I have developed a five-year strategic plan for this work as we are a private company striving for engaged and sustainable cities. I have just returned from a speaking engagement from a UN Sustainable Development Goals conference in Stuttgart, Germany.  My dream to provide sustainable services at the local level as well.  The vision will only be possible with the help of partners like you.
Here is the website link which is being tested and finalised communityinclusionawards.co.uk. I also share here is the blurb for the main event.
“Peterborough Community Inclusion Awards are a unique recognition system which includes a gala dinner to celebrate the excellent accomplishments of diverse communities who are working tirelessly to increase integration. It aims to celebrate diversity and inclusion across communities and in their practices.
The founder, Amina Chitembo is Diversity and Inclusion Coach and Trainer with over 20 years’ experience in the leadership, diversity and inclusion arena.  She has used similar initiatives in the past to encourage more people to self-inclusion by celebrating and acknowledging what is already going well.  Peterborough is one of the five local authorities Integration areas in the country. Leading by example, the city’s businesses and local people must work together inclusively and celebrate the achievements. Over the years a robust database of inclusive businesses and groups will be developed.
PCIA19 aims to recognise individuals and organisations who have made an outstanding contribution to equality, diversity and inclusion, bring together individuals, business, media, politics and third sector. It recognises the great work that is already happening in Peterborough, building stronger, more united communities.”
In addition to the awards ceremony, Diverse Cultures Advice and Coaching will provide the necessary support and training to businesses who are serious about promoting integration, diversity, and inclusion as well as work with individuals. The result will be a robust system that encourages positive contribution for the city as a whole.
